Reporting to the Director, Corporate Human Resources the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be accountable for ensuring the Company attracts and retains great employees while proactively building a robust talent pipeline utilizing various sources across North America.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • With the support of the HR team; design and implement a recruitment strategy
  • Establish key metrics to monitor recruitment performance
  • Work closely with North American HR managers to address talent gaps and proactively support those gaps
  • Accountable to understand and build the employee value proposition that can then translate into attracting top talent
  • Implement more innovative ways to ‘tell our story’ and establish our brand in the marketplace
  • Source candidates using Company website, databases, LinkedIn, Social Media, etc.
  • Assess candidates’ experience and skills along with cultural fit
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Support the selection process by prescreening, scheduling interviews, setting up travel arrangements, etc.
  • Identify recruitment material needs and source accordingly
  • Ensure background checks are completed
  • Assist with the onboarding process
  • Other HR related duties as assigned, such as researching training and development opportunities as required

We are seeking an energetic, tech-savvy and positive difference maker with a proven track record of delivering full cycle recruitment to enhance the business.

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • University degree in a related field is required
  • HR professional with 2-5 years of experience in full cycle recruitment
  • Knowledge of HR practices, principles, employment legislation as well as internal policies
  • Experience in implementing and utilizing an Applicant Tracking System
  • Experience in using technology and social media in recruitment
  • Experience in establishing recruitment and onboarding strategies
  • Experience in recruiting to remote locations in a capital intensive, 24/7 manufacturing environment would be an asset
  • Project management skills
  • Self-starter, with strong organizational skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure. Solutions oriented
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality on matters requiring discretion
  • Ability to travel to North American locations as needed.
