The natural successor to softwood plywood

Oriented Strand Board (OSB) is an engineered wood-based panel designed for construction and other industrial use. SterlingOSB or "Sterling Board" as it is often called is one of Europe's most widely used and trusted structural panels.

Why use SterlingOSB rather than plywood?

Because it meets the same performance standards as plywood, yet is more cost-effective. SterlingOSB has excellent moisture tolerance and is much less susceptible to the stress related problems of plywood, such as warping and ply separation. In addition, OSB has exceptional dimensional stability and a uniform structure with no knots or core voids.

Environmentally friendly

Another benefit of using SterlingOSB is its strong environmental profile. SterlingOSB uses thinnings and small diameter logs from well-managed forests. This process improves the growth and sustainability of surrounding plants, trees and wildlife.

All of our raw material is sourced from FSC certified forests in the UK. To find out more about the environmental benefits of purchasing Norbord products visit www.betterbyfar.org
