| Product Definition |
|
| Norbord MDF is made by compressing recovered & recycled wood fiber to form an engineered wood product. It is easy to machine and finish - all at a fraction of the cost of solid wood. |
| Manufacturing Process |
|
| Using state-of-the-art technology, the recycled and recovered fiber, in the form of sawdust, shavings and chips, are refined to individual fibers. Resin is added to the fibers and then compressed to form panels from 1/4" to 1 3/4" thick. |
| Application |
| Use Norbord MDF like you would solid wood. Your imagination is the only limiting factor. Norbord manufactures a standard 48# density MDF, as well as moisture resistant (MR Board) and high density (HDF), light density (LDF). We also offer full cut-to-size (CTS) capabilities. Norbord has the most extensive thickness range and panel sizes in North America. |
