This year Norbord, the UK’s leading manufacturer of engineered wood-based panels, celebrates its 21st anniversary. Over the last two decades, the company has become well-known within the industry for the strength of its core values and has recently re-branded its literature to reflect this and to streamline its corporate image.

One area which demonstrates the impact of this re-brand in practice is the new company packaging. The design, formulated by Norbord’s graphic design company Good Creative and implemented by Atlas Packaging, replicates the design template now used across all of the company’s corporate literature. The colours and design used are solid and strong in order to reflect the company’s values and high quality standards.

Instantly recognisable, the new packaging gives Norbord products enhanced appeal within merchant branches and makes them look prominent on building sites. The clear-cut design means that information – such as product type and sizing – is easily identified and that FSC certification is clearly stated. The packaging has the added benefit of helping protect the tongue and groove element on Norbord’s flooring products, including Caberdek.
