Scarborough recently welcomed the masses for Beached, the town’s annual music festival held on South Bay Beach.
The festival is renowned for its great atmosphere, its top notch performers – often home grown – and last, but by no means least, its unfailing enthusiasm – whatever the weather. No bad thing as this year the heavens opened in true British style. However, despite the downpours, the party carried on and the stage survived the battering.
As well as showcasing the best local artists, the festival was also supported by local businesses. Engineered wood-based panel manufacturer, Norbord, supplied 50 sheets of SterlingOSB (oriented strand board) through a local branch of Travis Perkins for the construction of the stage and bar.
Beached organiser, Steve Monkman of H20 Beached Ltd, commented: “The stage this year looked amazing with particular support from Norbord who supplied all the flooring. Although the weather didn’t hold out, the floor did. Without support from companies such as Norbord, this festival would be impossible to put on so, once again, from the organisers we thank you for your support!” |
