It was all go at Alsford Timber’s depots when Norbord and one of its distributors, Finnforest, joined forces on a marathon-style training campaign for Alsford Timber employees.
A team of Norbord and Finnforest sales representatives selected a ‘D-Day’, with the aim of visiting all Alsford’s depots in the South East of England in one day. Congregating at Gatwick at 8:30am, the participants then proceeded to split into smaller teams of five, with each allocated a number of depots.
Armed with giveaways including coffee mugs, lollipops and calculators, the sales teams tore through the South East, bringing a bit of fun to training procedures and educating employees with Norbord’s three-minute hero point of sale campaign: a short presentation which provides merchants with key information on Norbord’s Caberwood MDF, Caberboard and Sterling OSB ranges. With Alsford Timber managers primed for this training onslaught, the sales teams took staff off for training in groups of around two or three, keeping disruption to a minimum. All in all, a very successful day’s training! |
