The new Conti range was unveiled at the B&Q timber roadshow. 320 B&Q store managers, and their staff, were given the opportunity to see the new lines coming onto the market from suppliers.
B&Q entered into a six-store trial last September which runs until the end of 2006 and discussions are underway to look at rolling out some of the top-selling products from this trial to a large number of stores.
The new range has been in development for over two years and the results take Conti to a new level of performance and functionality. The Conti specifications have been improved with thicker board and ABS edging plus the melamine has been replaced with foil.
The boards are now accompanied by a range of colour matched shaped panels, mouldings and back panels and these are complemented by a range of non-coated MDF profiled and routed panels that are ready to paint, varnish or stain.
The new range updates and expands the Conti brand, thus making it much more exciting. It’s already a successful and popular DIY item but the full range opens up many more design options. It gives the consumer more opportunity to use their imagination to create great-looking and functional storage and furniture projects.
